چکیده
There is a need to establish complete process characterize Ultra-High-Performance Fiber-Reinforced Concrete (UHPFRC) in both strain-hardening and strain-softening tensile behavior. This should be simple easy apply so that its application direct. Therefore, this paper presents the development of obtain constitutive parameters UHPFRC. A simplified inverse analysis based on four-point bending tests (4PBT) derive material properties UHPFRC was adapted applied event strain softening using nonlinear finite element model (NLFEM). To fulfill objective, an extensive experimental program run with 227 specimens tested 4PBT exhibited responses. As reference, characteristic behavior obtained. Finally, predictive capable predicting curve as input developed database.

Frictional Strain Hardening-softening in Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Arching Effect
In the current paper the results of a numerical simulation that were verified by a well instrumented experimental procedure for studying the arching effect over a trapdoor in sand is presented. To simulate this phenomenon with continuum mechanics, the experimental procedure is modeled in ABAQUS code using stress dependent hardening in elastic state and plastic strain dependent frictional harden...
متن کاملTensile strain-induced softening of iron at high temperature.
In weakly ferromagnetic materials, already small changes in the atomic configuration triggered by temperature or chemistry can alter the magnetic interactions responsible for the non-random atomic-spin orientation. Different magnetic states, in turn, can give rise to substantially different macroscopic properties. A classical example is iron, which exhibits a great variety of properties as one ...
متن کاملStrain hardening, avalanches, and strain softening in dense cross-linked actin networks.
Actin filament networks enable the cytoskeleton to adjust to internal and external forcing. These dynamic networks can adapt to changes by dynamically adjusting their cross-links. Here, we model actin filaments as cross-linked elastic fibers of finite dimensions, with the cross-links being approximately 1 mum apart, and employ a full three-dimensional model to study their elastic properties by ...
متن کاملSimplified Inverse Method for Determining the Tensile Strain Capacity of Strain Hardening Cementitious Composites
As emerging advanced construction materials, strain hardening cementitious composites (SHCCs) have seen increasing field applications recently to take advantage of its unique tensile strain hardening behavior, yet existing uniaxial tensile tests are relatively complicated and sometime difficult to implement, particularly for quality control purpose in field applications. This paper presents a n...
متن کاملShear Localization due to Strain Softening in Side Pressed Cylinders
In this paper, shear localization due to strain softening in sidepressed cylinders, is inverstigated. Shear localization causes formation of macroscopic shear bands which can be obsserved in the metallographic cross-section. In this paper, for the first time a method is presented in which a simple two-slice model is used to study the formation of shear bands. The results obtained form this mode...
